Festivals & Other Concerts
Dhwani Academy arranges different musical performing platforms all year round – the objective is to carry forward rich Indian Cultural heritage of music to future generation as well as to propagate and create awareness among the community about the same.
Raaga & Rhythm – A grand festival is being celebrated every year, where well-known names from the classical music fraternity participate and perform.
Annual Concert – A students’ performance platform, to showcase their skills to the audiences, where Dhwani also presents up-and-coming artistes, to bring forth their talents to gain exposure.
Raaga & Rhythm (youth Series) – To encourage Dhwani’s talented students, A series of mini concerts are being arranged, where young students of the Academy get opportunity to perform before the national and international audiences, so that their talents get recognized.
Workshops & Masterclasses
Dhwani Academy conducts intensive workshops and Master Classes, for its intermediate and advanced students, focusing on the theory and tradition of tabla, its rhythm and intricacies as well as how to interact with the other genres of music keeping the tradition intact. The goal of these workshops is, to enrich the students’ learning experiences and to provide encouragement as well as to help students preserve the musical tradition of their own original descent.
Community Works
The Academy Arranges concerts throughout the year, at different venues, with participation of students as well as promising and established artistes from India and other countries, where we can reach out to a lot of people and communities or cultures work together, with mutual support. In this endeavor, the Academy has conducted community events like Earth Day, Musical Institute Museum, Phoenix Library, World Drum Festival, Ektaa Fest, Music Circle and Pasadena Music Conservatory.
